ephemeral sculpture photography
These photographs are of ephemeral sculptures composed of placenta, beef, sheep and hog intestines. Some are filled with air, honey, iodine, water, ping pong balls, eggs, balloons, wax, or Christmas ornaments. The slippery translucent character of these unusual materials makes for a variety of forms that refer to the human body, metamorphosis, embryology and birth. The wet nature of these forms are in stark contrast to the dried forms of the same material in my sculpture and installations.
