Peace Comes Slowly Now is a collaboration during an artist-in-residence week with Paul Bowen's sculpture students at Marlboro College in Marlboro Vermont. The experience was one of process, from siting the piece in an old sheep pasture, to production (weaving), to final design.

The initial concept comes from New England's architectural spires we witness now that the leaves are down. As the process unfolded, one student noticed that the act of repetitive weaving allowed one to quiet one's thoughts. It became a peaceful process working outside in November's parsimonious sun.
