Stall is a site-specific 15x15' sculpture for SculptureNow at The Mount in Lenox, Massachusetts in 2017. Located near the stables of Edith Wharton, Stall is made of steel, re-claimed cello bow strings made of horse hair woven into netting. Having Tanglewood nearby furthers the relationship of the chosen materials. This site-specific memorial honors the activities and architecture of a New England past.
Below is a video of the making of Stall, while I was in residence at Bread and Butter Farm. Ethan Tischler came in to play fiddle for us while we hand tied each bundle of horse hair.
